What vegetation can you mow?
We handle long grass, light scrub, dense lantana, blackberry, and woody regrowth up to around 50mm in stem diameter. Larger trees are outside the scope of flail mowing.
What happens to the cut material?
It is mulched on the spot and left as a fine layer that suppresses regrowth, retains moisture, and breaks down into the soil.
Can you mow vegetation on slopes?
Yes, our tracked machine handles slopes up to 60 degrees. See our Steep Slope Mowing service for extreme terrain.
How is this different from slashing?
A flail mulches woody and fibrous growth into fine material rather than just topping it, and our tracked machine reaches steep and tight ground a slasher cannot.
Do you clear everything or just certain weeds?
We mow everything in the agreed area. For selective weed removal around natives, see our Environmental & Sensitive Areas service.
Will mowing stop weeds regrowing?
It knocks the canopy right down and the mulch slows regrowth. Persistent species like lantana may need a follow-up cut within 12 months.
What about vines and creepers?
Ground-level growth is mowed and mulched. Vines climbing into retained trees are best cut at the base with follow-up treatment for the roots.
What is the minimum job size?
We have a minimum call-out roughly equivalent to half a day. For very small jobs this may be more than a per-area rate would calculate.
