Quoting & Pricing
How does the instant quote system work?
Simply enter your property address, draw the area you want cleared on our interactive map, and answer a few questions about the vegetation. Our system calculates an estimate based on the area size, terrain, vegetation density, and your location. For complex jobs, we may recommend a free site visit.
What factors affect the price?
The main factors include: area size (m²), terrain difficulty (flat vs steep), vegetation type and density, access to the site, travel distance from our base, and any obstacles like rocks or structures. Our online calculator considers all these factors.
Do you offer free site visits?
Yes! For larger or more complex jobs, we offer free site visits to provide an accurate quote. This allows us to assess the terrain, vegetation, and access in person. Site visits are typically scheduled within 3-5 business days.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept bank transfer, credit/debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Amex), and PayPal. A 50% deposit is required to secure your booking, with the balance due upon completion.
Services & Equipment
What types of vegetation can you clear?
Our forestry mulcher can process most vegetation including lantana, blackberry, privet, camphor laurel, wild tobacco, scrub, regrowth timber, and thick grass. We can handle vegetation up to 400mm in diameter. For larger trees, we can discuss additional options.
What happens to the cleared material?
All cleared vegetation is mulched on-site and spread across the cleared area. This returns nutrients to the soil, prevents erosion, and saves you disposal costs. The mulch breaks down naturally over time and improves soil health.
Do you work on steep terrain?
Yes! Our tracked mulching equipment is designed for difficult terrain and can work on slopes up to 60 degrees that conventional machinery cannot access. Just indicate the terrain type when getting your quote.
What size trees can you mulch?
Our primary forestry mulcher can process trees up to 400mm (16 inches) in diameter. For larger trees, we may need to use additional equipment or fell them first before mulching.
Can you selectively clear around trees I want to keep?
Absolutely! We specialize in selective clearing and can carefully work around valuable trees, native species, or any vegetation you want to preserve. Just mark these areas when submitting your quote.
Booking & Scheduling
How quickly can you start work?
Once you accept a quote and pay the 50% deposit, we can typically schedule work within 1-2 weeks. During busy periods (typically spring and early summer), this may extend slightly. Urgent jobs can often be accommodated – just let us know your timeframe.
How long does a typical job take?
Job duration depends on the area size and vegetation density. A quarter-acre of moderate lantana might take half a day, while a heavily vegetated hectare could take 2-3 days. Your quote will include an estimated timeframe.
Do I need to be home during the work?
Not necessarily, as long as we have access to the work area. We do prefer to meet you at the start of the job to confirm the scope and boundaries. We'll provide updates throughout the work via SMS or phone.
What if it rains on the scheduled day?
Light rain usually doesn't stop us – our equipment is designed for Australian conditions. However, heavy rain or storms may require rescheduling for safety reasons. We'll contact you as early as possible if weather affects your booking.
Can I reschedule my booking?
Yes, we understand plans can change. Please give us at least 48 hours notice for rescheduling. Your deposit will remain valid for the rescheduled date.
Insurance & Safety
Are you fully insured?
Absolutely. We carry $20 million in public liability insurance and comprehensive equipment insurance. Proof of insurance is available upon request and is provided with every quote.
How do you ensure safety on site?
Safety is our top priority. Our operators are fully trained and certified. We conduct thorough site assessments before work begins, maintain exclusion zones during operation, and follow all WorkSafe Queensland guidelines.
What about underground services?
Before any work begins, we recommend having a Dial Before You Dig assessment if you suspect underground services. Our equipment operates on the surface and typically doesn't impact underground utilities, but it's always best to be safe.
Service Areas
What areas do you service?
We primarily service South East Queensland, including Brisbane, Ipswich, Logan, Redlands, Moreton Bay, Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast, and the Scenic Rim regions. Jobs further afield may attract additional travel costs.
Do you charge for travel?
Jobs within our core service area (approximately 50km from Brisbane) have no additional travel charges. For jobs further out, a travel fee may apply – this will be clearly shown in your quote.
Do you work on rural properties?
Yes! We work on all property types including rural acreage, farms, lifestyle blocks, and semi-rural properties. Our equipment is ideal for larger rural clearing projects.
Environmental
Is forestry mulching environmentally friendly?
Yes! Forestry mulching is one of the most environmentally responsible clearing methods. Material is recycled on-site, reducing transport emissions. Mulch protects soil from erosion, retains moisture, and adds organic matter as it decomposes.
Do I need council approval for clearing?
Requirements vary by council and property. Some clearing requires approval, especially for larger areas or properties with overlays. We recommend checking with your local council before proceeding. We can provide documentation to support applications.
Can you help with bushfire preparation?
Absolutely! Creating and maintaining firebreaks and Asset Protection Zones (APZs) is one of our specialties. We can clear vegetation to help protect your property and comply with bushfire management requirements.
What about native wildlife?
We take care to check for wildlife before clearing. If we encounter native animals, we pause work to allow them to safely relocate. For larger projects, we can recommend wildlife spotters.
